Made it, mostly

Let me preface this post by saying it is going to be short and possibly a but incoherent.

So I made it though the surgery (yea!) – started around 9:00am, I would up somewhere around 1 or 2pm. Lots of pain. I then had a complication that has resulted with total numbness of my right foot, though it seems to be getting a bit better. I’ve been in the ICU getting poked and prodded – it does not seem like foot drop (look it up) which is good news. Hopefully it will clear up and I can move into a room tomorrow.

Better update (and photos) tomorrow but for now I try to sleep.

Hey! I found your blog by accident and read it straight thru and love your style. I totally connect with everything you’ve written. I’m a fellow hip chick, already done with both PAOs and SDD and hip scopes and hardware removal…anyway, I have similar anatomy to you except I think we’re reversed. My right is your left (retroverted, impingement, dysplasia) and my left is your right (straight up dysplasia)…I think. Maybe now I’m confused! Anyway, I listed my blog above and it is not “public” either but I still keep it updated as my journey is still ongoing. Will look forward to reading your posts and if you have any questions, feel free to email me!

    Hi Marcie,

I think you can follow it from the main page or from one of the pages with a recent post. I will try to take a look later to tonight from my iPad. And thanks for the compliment on the page – I would love to have you follow it!
